12-yr-old teaches techies for free
Hyderabad: It all started when his father took the 10 year old, Mohammed Hassaan Ali to a construction site and was astonished by the way the youngster was able to make various calculations by taking measurements of the under construction building.
Now 12 years and studying in VII standard, this school-going boy has proved his grasping of ‘technical knowledge.’ He perfected himself through online tutorials of computer programming and AutoCAD and trained over 600 engineering students in gaining know-how of the subjects for free during the last 19 months.
His father, Mohammed Sadiq Ali, a civil engineer who remains the force behind this ‘child prodigy’ recalled the day when he was taken to the construction site and discovered that his son was exceptional with good IQ at that age. He was able to calculate different measurements of the structure.
“After that day he started learning practical engineering subjects like Mechanical, Electrical and Civil by using internet. More over started making models and power point presentation etc. And now he is giving coaching to a batch of 30 students after completion of his school from 5:30 pm to 8 pm,” Sadiq explained.
Sadiq feels that this gift of talent was passed on from generations from Hassaan’s great grandfather to his grandfather who were both government teachers and Hassaan became a tutor on his own at a tender age. With the knowledge gained online, Hassaan got backing of his parents to open a free coaching centre, where he can teach the ‘technical courses’ to students of engineering.
“For the last one year he is teaching AutoCAD, 2D 3D, Revit Architecture, MEP, Staad Pro, E-Tab, Quantity Survey, Mechanical Cad, Solid Works etc., to both BTech and MTech students. This institute also has tied up with some companies as part of industrial training projects. He is working on more courses and some more courses will be added shortly,” Sadiq added.
Hassaan also got offers from some engineering colleges for conducting workshops, but he refused the offer because of the schooling. “When it comes to technical knowledge, I can grasp easily and can explain with ease to others,” said Hassaan.
This child prodigy also received awards at the Computer Aided Drafting Engineering Competition organised by private engineering colleges. Recently he was awarded at an event organised by Vardhaman College of Engineering and in coordination with American Society of Civil Engineers (ASCE).
