Vizag boy bags National Child Award-2018

Visakhapatnam: The Government of India here on Friday announced National Child Award-2018 to city-based boy Priyam T. The award will be presented by the President of India at a function to be held at Rashtrapati Bhavan on January 22 at New Delhi.

Priyam, a Class 10th student of Sri Chaitanya School in the city, is an international skater and has won 64 medals at district, state, national and International competitions. He won six international medals including two gold and two silver. At the national level, he won 38 medals including 16 gold and 7 silver medals.

Considering his meritorious records in the skating, the Government of India selected Priyam for the National Child Award-2018 for exceptional achievement under the sports category.

Priyam selected to participate in the first Winter Children of Asia Games, Sakhalin, Russia to be held in the second week of February, this year.

While talking on his achievement, Priyam expressed his thanks to his coaches P.Satyanarayana and K.Chitti babu and added that without their support he could not have reached to the present level.
