AP, Telangana to witness high-intensity temperatures this summer

Telangana and Andhra Pradesh are all set to endure a hot summer as the  Indian Meteorological Department has announced that over the next three months, a warmer summer can be expected.

According to the IMD, the summer will be hotter compared to the last 1-2 years and the month of March itself will begin the heatwave days with high-intensity temperatures likely.

Some of the districts expected to be worst affected are Nellore, Prakasam, Krishna, Visakhapatnam and Srikakulam.

With temperatures in many locations already soaring such as Kurnool, Anantapur, Kadapa, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Tirupati and more, the temperatures are set to go up to 47-48 degrees once the summer officially kicks in with 43 degrees and above be the temperature for more than 30 days.

The Met Department has previously stated that the pre-monsoon months will be warmer than normal and a heat wave is expected to hit 16 states in the country.
