SNS organises Awaken Citizen Programme
Hyderabad: Swami Vivekananda said, “We want an education by which character is formed, strength of mind is increased, the intellect is expanded and by which one can stand on one’s own feet”. Moral values and graciousness in the past were prominent in most of the teenagers. However, these moral values and self-discipline are slowly diminishing over the years, as most of the youngsters are gradually disregarding values.
Sister Nivedita School, Ameerpet, Hyderabad has incorporated Awakened Citizen Programme in the time table and the students have an enlightening session on the moral values and life skills. The programme has helped students to open their minds and has enabled them to discover values. The Programme has guided students to discover and manifest the infinite universal and unique possibilities within them. It has taught students to accept the differences with other.
It teaches us to have an amicable nature. The students can link the scenarios in the classes to their everyday life. They share their thoughts on various topics and thus learn to interact and express their opinions to the world. These classes have helped students to overcome their fears and ignite the ‘I’ can’ possibility within them. During the course of the programme, the students have learnt to convert their weaknesses into strengths, and have realized the infinite power within. The classes have had a tremendous impact on the character of the students and their attitude towards others.
