JEE Main 2019: A Complete Guide for Appearing Students
JEE Main 2019 is going to be conducted by the authority of National Testing Agency (NTA). From year 2019 onwards, the entrance test will be conducted two times in a year that is in the month of January and April. JEE Main 2019 exam is scheduled to be held on 6th – 20th January 2019 for January session and 7th – 21st April 2019 for April session.
JEE Main is conducted to offer admission in various NITs, IITS and CFTIs institutions. Candidates will be eligible to apply for admission in these institutes if they have attained at least 75% marks or are in the top 20 percentile in their 12th level examination. For ST/SC candidates the minimum qualifying marks are 65%.
As per the decision of NTA, the online registration of JEE Main 2019 will start from 1st September, 2018. The last date to fill the application form is till 30th September, 2018. Candidates can fill up their application form by visiting the official website of NTA.
The entire application filling process will consists of:
- Filling the personal, academic/communication details
- Uploading of photo and signature of the applicant
- Making the application fee payment
Candidates can pay their application fee through debit, credit card or bank challan method. After the successful submission of application form, candidates will be able to download their JEE Main admit card. The admit card will be provided in the month of December 2018.
Candidates can download their admit card by entering their date of birth, application number and security code. Along with the admit card, candidates must not forget to bring their one photo id proof on the exam day. If in case any discrepancy arises in the admit card, candidates can immediately report about it to the prescribed authority of NTA.
After the conduction of exams, the results will be announced. The results are expected to be released till the 1st week of February for January session. For the April session, the result is expected to be released till the 1st week of May 2019. Candidates can check their exam results by submitting their roll number and date of birth.
According to the marks scored by the candidates a rank list will be prepared by the authority. Candidates will be provided admission in various institutes on the basis the rank scored in the entrance test. The seat allocation process will be done on the basis of candidate’s All India Ranks. Also the documents verification will be done at the time of counselling.
