According To Harvard Medical School Heart Attack patients likely to survive if the doctors are away

A study published in the journal of the American Heart Association has found that those who has a heart attack when their cardiologists were away at big cardiology conference fared better.

Study by the doctors at the Harvard medical school revealed that those who had heart attacks when interventional cardiologists were away at academic conferences were more likely to survive in the month after the event those who had the attack’s on non conference days.

Doctor and the lead author of the study says Anupama Jena says many medical interventions deliver no mortality benefit and the fact that mortality actually falls for heart attack patients during these conferences dates raises important questions about how Care might differ during these periods.

The researchers found that patients did better for acute cardiovascular conditions such as cardiac arrest and heart failure.
