Numaish Begins!
Nampally: The 78th All India Industrial Exhibition 2018 was inaugurated by deputy chief ministers Kadiyam Srihari and Mohammed Mahmood Ali at Exhibition Ground here on Monday.
“Numaish” was first started in 1938 with only 100 stalls at Public Gardens and today it has attained the status of a national-level expo, and is considered one of the biggest windows of the country to promote trade. In addition, the expo functions as a mode of educating people on developmental activities of the government.
Speaking at the inauguration, President of Exhibition Society Eatala Rajejender said that All India Industrial Exhibition is a historic event held in Hyderabad for 46 days. He said that the savings accrued from the exhibition are utilised in financing 18 educational institutions. He said that there are 2,500 stalls and more than 25 lakh visitors every year. “The Society will work towards better infrastructure,” he said.
Srihari thanked the members of the society to promote education in a better way. He expressed his support to strengthen the colleges under Exhibition Society.
Meanwhile Ali said that the Exhibition is not only famous in India but all over the world and there are people who come from foreign countries to visit it. He said that all the savings of the event are spent in educating children.
Secretary NVN Charyulu said that the Exhibition Society in collaboration with IICT has set up pure drinking water kiosks for the people and are in plans to provide bio-degradable bags so that it does not affect the environment. He said that the main aim of the exhibition is to support Swachh Bharat and Swachh Hyderabad to keep the premises clean.
