Remembrance of Savitribai Phule

Nacharam: Shanti Saizen, Nacharam Corporator along with her ward members paid rich tributes to Savitribai Phule on the eve of 187 birth anniversary.

Savitribai Phule was a social reformer who worked with her husband had worked towards the upliftment of women’s place in the society and had advocated their education on par with others. Post programme Shanti Saizen said, “We should ensure that the ideals of Savitribai does not die out”. Later Shanti Saizen went around Nacharam where development works were going on, with regards to nalas.
