Sainik Welfare Centre inaugurated
Trimulgherry: A ‘Sainik Welfare Centre’ was inaugurated by Lieutenant General RK Anand, General Officer commanding, at 1 EME Centre in Secunderabad, here on Thursday.
Dedicating it to the Ex-Servicemen of the area, the welfare centre will also be open to even the serving soldiers of station units located in Secunderabad, Functioning as a hub, the centre would facilitate in conducting of motivational lectures, seminars, re-settlement, and employment exhibitions.
It will also function as a place for social gatherings and accommodate get-togethers for the veterans and their wards settled in Alwal, Lothkunta and Kowkur areas of Secunderabad.
Major General N Srinivas Rao, General Officer Commanding, Telangana and Andhra Sub Area, Brigadier Manish Upadhyay, Deputy GOC, TASA, Brigadier Ajay Malik, Commandant, 1EME Centre, Colonel (Retd) P. Ramesh Kumar, Director, Sainik Welfare and other senior army officials and a large number of Ex-servicemen of the area participated in the inauguration ceremony. The Ex-Servicemen thanked the military authorities for their kind gesture.
