Helpline to save birds from manja launched

Hyderabad: A helpline to save birds that are injured due to kites has been launched by Sahayog Organisation. The helpline number is 9394005600.  Mahesh Agarwal, general secretary, Sahayog said, “Volunteers from Sahayog Organisation and Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh, will move on two wheelers in and around Hyderabad city and attend to the injured birds till 17th January morning.”

Bharatiya Prani Mitra Sangh has been working towards the protection of birds and spreading awareness on the harm to birds that manja  causes. Mahesh advocates for safe way of flying kites by not using chinese manja, glass coated manja and shift to the simple thread without any glass and iron coatings.
