Empowering washermen

Kushaiguda: Most Backward Community(MBC) Chairman T Srinivas met the washermen of Kushaiguda and assured them at their problems would soon end once when Modern Dhobighats starts functioning. Last month MBC Chairman T Srinivas got an amount of Rs 20 lakhs sanctioned for the construction of Modern dhobighats, whose foundation stone was laid by Member of Parliament Malla Reddy and MBC Chairman T Srinivas. 

The dhobighats would have modern equipments like washing machines, drying machines with which the washermen can get more work done within a short span of time. MBC Chairman T Srinivas, told The Hans India, “We would also be giving out training classes for the unemployed in the area and different villages.”

He further added, “We are planning things in such a way that every washermen gets around Rs 10,000 to Rs 15,000 of salary through this.”
