Overflowing drainage still a major issue
Kukatpally: Drainage water has been over flowing from a man hole in phase II of Allwyn Colony since past 40 days. The overflowing water is flowing into low lying areas and stagnating there.
Though people complained many a times, officials turned a blind eye and did not find a solution to the problem. Residents say they were fed up giving complaints.
K Rajini another local said, “We are forced to bear the foul smell emanating from the overflowing drainage. The water slit makes the roads slippery making it difficult for the elderly people and children to walk on the colony roads. There are chances of skidding and falling down due to slippery roads.”
Though the colony people have complained to the sanitation authorities, no action has been taken so far. “When we go to meet the concerned person at the office, they say that they are not the right person and asks us to meet someone else.
They are making us roam from pillar to post and we are clueless whom to speak with and hope someone will take the initiative and solve the problem,” said the colony residents
When The Hans India tried to contact Sudarshan, Executive Engineer, he did not respond to the query.
