Unauthorised lay-outs spring up in Tandur
Tandur: Some unscrupulous realtors have developed unauthorized lay-outs in an area of 12 acres in Sitarampeta, Survey No:3 and Harijan colony near the burial grounds in the municipal limits of the town without securing necessary permissions. While the vested interests go about plotting the land, neither the revenue nor municipal authorities pay attention to it.
As per the revenue department rules, to convert agriculture land into non-agriculture land, a NOC should be secured from either the Revenue Divisional Officer or the Sub-Collector. Later, the realtor should obtain necessary permissions from the relevant municipal office prior to selling the plots.
The state has been set for selling the plots in the abovesaid areas of the town without securing necessary approvals for the lay-outs. According to municipal councilor Aravind Kumar identified the land as that was allotted by the government to the landless poor for house building. The land belonged to the government. Moreover, he said that he had urged the minister to allot the land to dalits for burial ground. The minister directed the RDO to take urgent action if the said land were to be the government land.
When The Hans India sought municipal commissioner Bhogeswarlu’s clarification, he said that the unauthorized lay-out under survey no.3 came to his notice and maintained that the lay-out has no approval. When municipal staff went there to enquire about it, some unidentified personnel there abused the civic body staff. He said that the construction activity in such real estate venture would be obstructed.
