Sindhu urges school kids to take up sports

Qutbullapur: The annual day celebrations of Delhi Public School at Bowrampet was held with great pomp and show, here on Wednesday. Olympic medallist and ace badminton player P V Sindhu attended the event as the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, the World No-3 Champion said that she was left nostalgic and that she too used to be equally excited to be part of the annual day celebrations of her school when she was a child.

 " Every child must be encouraged to take up sports right from the schooling as it would imbibe virtues like sportsmen spirit, persistence, hard work in them," Sindhu opined. 

Congratulating three students of the school who got selected for the national-level skating competition, Sindhu also appreciated the school management for balancing studies and sports of the pupil.  PVP pro-chairman G Ramesh, Academic Director Rekha Agarwal, Principal Tara Suresh, former Cricket Board member Chamundeswari Nath participated in the celebrations.
