Kadiyam Srihari inaugurates Sports League

Gachibowli: Deputy Chief Minister and Education Minister Kadiyam Srihari inaugurated the three-day Government Residential Schools Sports League at Gachibowli Stadium on Wednesday.Speaking on the occasion, he said students studying in government schools are no less than students studying in Private schools. They can bag medals in Olympics if they are provided opportunities, he added.

The minister was overwhelmed with the dance performances of the students. He said about eight lakh students are studying in 840 residential schools in Telangana. The Government’s per capita expenditure on education is Rs 1.02 lakh, he added.

Telangana Social Welfare Residential Educational Institutions Society Secretary R S Praveen Kumar and Sports Authority of Telangana Chairman Venkateswara Reddy were present.
