Signaling system a vital need on Indian Railways: Akhil Agrawal

Tarnaka: The advent of modern signalling system in Indian Railways has brought in a very vital need for the signal & telecommunication officers joining the organisation to keep abreast of the technology advancements being made on a continuous basis, to perform to the best, said Akhil Agrawal, Director General, Signal & Telecommunications, Railway Board.

He was speaking as the Chief Guest at the ‘Passing Out’ function of 17 Indian Railways Service of Signal Engineering (IRSSE) Probationary Officers-2015 batch held at the Indian Railways Institute of Signal Engineering and Telecommunications (IRISET), Secunderabad here on Monday. 

Akhil Agrawal stressed on the need for young Signal & Telecom Officers to act with a positive attitude to work and be the guardians to their subordinate staff, so as to get their commitment and affection, which hugely enhances work efficiency. 

P Sinha, Director, IRISET welcomed the gathering and detailed the achievements of this premier organisation, which holds worldwide reputation. A gallery showcasing the antique signalling and telecommunications equipment was inaugurated.
