Campaign for a clean society

Uppal: Uppal Corporator M Anala Reddy and senior TRS leader of Uppal M Hanumanth Reddy undertook a padayatra to Kurmanagar located at Uppal hills to spread awareness on dry waste and wet waste for the 600 families residing in the area.

 
M Hanumanth Reddy told The Hans India, “There are about 600 families living in this area, all of them are newly settled. Most of them are from rural background, they do not know how to dispose waste and what would happen if they dispose in an open place, which they have been doing ever since they have settled in the area.”

“We taught them how to dispose wet and dry waste separately, and if waste is disposed in an open place, it brings diseases and infections among people”, added M Hanumanth Reddy.
When asked about what are the recent developments which took place in the area M Hanumanth Reddy, said, “There were was no drinking water available to here, we have got a separate pipeline constructed, and the crematorium we have recently cleaned up and renovated, so, that it can be used by the people here.”

“We are also planning to construct a community hall for the people here. There is no place for social gathering, we have already submitted the proposal for the same, and are waiting for the land approval for the construction”, said Hanumanth Reddy.

He along with corporator will ensure that proper number of rickshaws to collect the waste are assigned to the area sanitary supervisors so, that the cleanliness is maintained.
He also said that corporator would conduct such kind of awareness programmes in all the new areas so, that the drainage and garbage problems are eradicated from Uppal.
