Despite fund sanction, people facing water woes

Kondapur: Residents of Channa Reddy Nagar,Kondapur and Madhapur are facing pipeline problem even after the GHMC  laid manjeera water  pipeline. Sources say that during a  recent meeting GHMC  minister Kalvakuntla Taraka Rama Rao had sanctioned  Rs 1.3 crore for construction of Manjeera water pipelines in this area so that they don't face drinking water problem.

Local municipal corporators have taken advantage of this issue and  started collecting 500 rupees  from the residents of this area. Speaking to the Hans India Sai Reddy, resident of Channa Reddy Nagar said that  even after the government had sanctioned huge amount for this area, the local politicians are demanding money from  each one of us .

Another resident Sashidar Reddy pointed out that due to GHMC’s negligence we have to put new pipeline for drainage, which would cost around Rs 10000. Ruckus has been prevailing at Channa Reddy Nagar and citizens of the Channa Reddy Nagar are finding it difficult to deal with them and are requesting the government to take an immediate action regarding this issue to have a peaceful environment.
