Republic Day celebrations at Kendriya Vidyalaya

 Uppal: The students and staff of Kendriya Vidyalaya Uppal celebrated 69th Republic Day with great enthusiasm and joy at their campus on Friday. The school children who started preparations for the Republic day celebrations a week back. 

Their hard work finally received thunders of appreciation from the audience after each of their performances.

Students performed march past and later tuned to every beat of drum and melodious songs which were played throughout the campus and students were seen hustling and jostling to get tri color pinned onto their chest, was altogether a spectacular and mesmerising sight to watch.  

The Chief Guest for the celebrations was U N Gurjar, ASG, IISG, SOI who was welcomed on a warm note by S Radha Mahalakshmi, the principal of Kendriya Vidyalaya No 2. The students stood in lines of their respective teams with their captains. The programme started with the hoisting of national flag by the chief guest. Later, the primary school children presented patriotic songs on the occasion. 
    
Students performed group dances, speeches and skits which enthralled the audience. After the performances, the chairman of the school who was also present on the occasion, gave away the prizes to the children for the various competition which were conducted earlier related to the Republic day.
