Meritorious students felicitated

Nayapul: Hyderabad Halai Memon Jamat felicitated the meritorious students of the Memon community and distributed prizes among them at Minar Garden here on Sunday.President of the Halai Memon Jamat, Mohammed Shabbir Bhojani said that irrespective of what institution they have been studying in, students were felicitated and encouraged for their good academic record.

He said that students from first standard to post graduation attended the event where meritorious students received prizes and consolation. He said that there were about more than 20,000 Memon people across Hyderabad.

The Halai Memon Society is working in different aspects also like providing pensions to widows, monetary help for marriages and other scholarships to the community, he said and added that girls and boys of the community were scaling new heights in academics.
