Water Board MD vows timely completion of projects

 Charminar: Water Board Managing Director M Dana Kishore on Monday reviewed the Jalam-Jeevam programme, ORR projects and instructed the officials to complete the works in time. 

He said that about 567 rainwater harvesting structures have been completed out of the targeted 1000 before February 1, 2018 across the city. This initiative was launched by the minister of municipal administration K T Rama Rao. These 1000 structures would be erected by various departments like HMWSSB, GHMC, TSIIC, CDMA.

As regard to HUDCO & ORR projects, the Managing Director instructed the general managers and agencies to expedite and complete the works as per time schedules.
He reiterated that the HUDCO project should be completed by all means and commissioned by end of February.

As regards to ORR project, he directed the project officers and implementing agency to submit the timelines for construction of reservoirs, procurement schedules of pipes, inlet, outlet laying etc. Necessary safety precautions should be taken to avoid any mishaps. At one time, he got irked at the slow pace of progress. Every week there should be 15-20 per cent progress, he directed.
