Where a standing coin fulfils wishes

Hyderabad: Among all the important sacred sites in Hyderabad, there is one with a captivating history- Peddamma temple. Legend has it that it has been in existence since 150 years.  

Late P. Janardhan Reddy who was well known as the ex- MLA of Khairatabad is the founder of the Peddamma temple and it came into public attention since 1993.
To be found in the heart of Hyderabad this is a temple of Goddess Durga who is the personification of strength and power. Peddamma in itself means the mother of the universe and devotees pray to her with a lot of devotion.

Yogesh, a business man said that’ it is a wonder to be at the temple and he was filled with excitement. The whole temple looked fresh and there was peace everywhere. As soon as you enter there was a place where people make the coins stand. I wonder what it is but it was exciting. I was able to make one coin stand’.

Homemaker Khyati said that ‘I have been a regular visitor, I think there is a power in this temple whenever I ask for something at this temple it happens’. Yoga motivator Pratima said”I’m actually from a different town. I believe here so normally if you place a coin without any wish to be fulfilled, it just doesn’t stand but if you wish for something it holds. I’ve been coming from 3-4 years but my belief on this temple has been from many years’.

Krishna, a lecturer said that ‘I first came to this temple in 2016 with my neighbours. They told me about the coin incident, which has been heard of for more than 10 years. It made me come and try it once and that’s when I got to visit this temple and since then I’ve been visiting’. There are however who say this is nothing but trash.
