Wages of Second ANMs to be increased in three days

Hyderabad: Ministers Lakshma Reddy and Nayani Narsimha Reddy on Monday, said that the wages of second ANMs were likely to be increased in next three days. Addressing the first ‘Mahasabha’ of Telangana Rashtra Second ANM Association (affiliated to TRSKV) at RTC Kalyana Mandapam, Bagh Lingamapalli, the ministers stated that 4,200 second ANMs were working statewide in 60:40 ratio under the Government of India scheme.

They asserted that the wages of Second ANMs were being increased for achieving Bangaru Telangana, while recalling that the phased hike effected in the case of Anganwadi/ASHA workers, RTC employees, Home Guards. The ministers sought to assure the association representatives that they would discuss the issue of wage hike with Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, in view of the dedicated services being offered by Second ANMs.

Dr Lakshma Reddy pointed out that thanks to the efforts made by the TRS government the number of patients approaching the government hospitals were increasing. Narsimha Reddy criticised the previous governments for their negligent attitude towards many departments.

Association president Anuradha was in the chair. Among those present were MLC P Rajeshwar Reddy, MLA Srinivas Goud, TRSKV President Rambabu, Secretary Narayana, Marayya, Tara Devi, Pushpalata Sharma, Sharada Manjula, a large number of second ANMs.
