Global delegation on a metro rail ride
Hyderabad: A foreign delegation comprising 32 senior government officers from 25 countries hopped on the Hyderabad metro rail here on Wednesday. The officials are here in the city as part of the Administrative Staff College of India (ASCI)’s “High Impact Leadership/Managerial Skill Development” programme.
The senior officers are from Ethiopia, Bhutan, Cambodia, Nepal, Sri Lanka, Afghanisthan, Syria, Honduras, Cote D’ Ivoire, Mali, Tunisia, Algeria, Argentina, Oman, Suriname, Gautemala, South Sudan, Malidives, Namibia, Seychelles, Botswana and other countries.
The Hyderabad Metro Rail MD N V S Reddy made a power point presentation through which he explained the salient features of the metro project including integration with other modes of transportation, smart ticketing, creation of pedestrian facilities like sidewalks, street furniture.
Later, the delegation took a metro train ride from Rasoolpura to Ameerpet. GM (Works), HMRL BN Rajeshwar and GM (Finance), HMRL Suryaprakasham and Program Director, ASCI. J Swarnalatha accompanied the delegation.
