Where’s our road: Denizens
Hyderabad: Roads are into shopping streets in large numbers, people who are in hurry to reach their destination are just stalled over the traffic jams reasoning being the shopping on streets. The most affected roads in city are Ameerpet, Koti, Secunderabad road sections.
Major commercial areas have been affected by traffic jams, especially during the evening hours. Finding parking space is another issue particularly where the vendors have encroached the area by selling accessories and clothes in cheap rates.
Manali a shopper at the street said, I’m a college student, I am also aware of what is happening, but I continue shopping here because there is no person who is taking any action against these vendors.
Jayanth a pedestrian said that we are used to the common traffic caused by the vendors on the road. There is no such person who would understand this; they are just busy doing their business.
I think this would not stop until this vendor are given proper tranche.
Ayesha a tailor said, I think we are not wrong because even we work hard to stitch clothes and selling them is not an easy work and that is the reason we start our sale on the roads as we do not have our own shops.
Monika a school teacher said crossing the road is one of the major problems especially for children and due the fast moving vehicles on the road, pedestrian must be very careful while crossing the road as there is a fear of accidents.
