Free heart surgeries by UK doctors

 Hyderabad: Heart & Brain Institute, Andhra Hospitals organised Paediatric Cardiology & Cardiac surgical camp by Healing Little Hearts, UK team from Jan 22-27 & Feb  5-9.  A 11-member UK doctors team from world famous hospitals - Alderhey children’s hospital Liverpool, UK & Great Ormond Street Hospital, London, Black pool Victoria Hospital, UK performed 20 free heart surgeries during this week. 

The team was led by Dr. Ramana Dhannapuneni from UK & Dr. Vikram from Andhra Hospitals. The team had successfully performed all complex heart surgeries which include Transposition of Great Arteries, Tetralogy of Fallot, Absent Pulmonary Valve, Double outlet right ventricle, AVSD & other complex heart defects.

Dr. P. V. Ramana Murthy, Managing Director, Andhra Hospitals said that Andhra Hospitals have been doing children heart surgeries regularly for the past two years.
