NHPS promises poor corporate treatment: BJP chief
Musheerabad: The health insurance scheme with a low premium proposed in the Union Budget, National Health Protection Scheme, (NHPS) enables the poor to avail themselves of treatment in corporate hospitals, said State BJP president Dr K Laxman here on Friday. Participating in a conference of SHGs in Tyagaraya Gana Sabha, he handed over thrift passbooks to several members of groups.
Addressing the gathering, the BJP MLA said the Mudrayojana scheme of GOI paved the way for sanction of bank loans to women for becoming entrepreneurs and thus grow financially. He assured SHGs to strive for finding solutions to their problems, if brought to his notice.
Dr Laxman asserted that the Narendra Modi government was striving to ensure welfare of all sections, citing the example of ‘Beti Bachao’ scheme, which ensured a pride of place to women.
He demanded immediate release of dues to SHGs by the State government and also sanction of interest-free loans.
