Awareness drive on ‘Kitchen and Roof garden’

Neredmet: The Rythu Nestham Foundation in collaboration with the Department of Horticulture of Telangana State government organised a massive awareness drive titled " Kitchen and Roof Garden" at Vayupuri Colony Recreation Club, here on Sunday. 

Attended by over 250 nature enthusiasts, the event aimed to encourage citizens to grow plants even in the limited spaces they have through special techniques which were demonstrated and explained as a part of the programme. 

Stalls on vermicomposting, medical plants, gardening tools etc were set up as an initiative to enlighten the public. 

" Nurturing plants can help in tackling every environmental issue plaguing the society. Moreover, growing our own vegetables do not just give a healthy life but also act as lessons for our future generations." shares Y Venkateshwara Rao, Founder of Rythu Nestham Foundation. 

Jyothi, a government employee expresses that such programmes are very encouraging and that she along with her children too, grow leafy vegetables in their garden, that too by reusing plastic bottles.
