Qutbullapur:  Defending the strong presence of Telugu Desam Party in Qutbullapur and its neighbouring regions, State Secretary and Constituency In-Charge B Hanumanth Rao called in the party cadre to strengthen its hold right from the grassroots levels, here on Monday.

Speaking at a massive meeting held at Vennelagadda circle in Jeedimetla, the senior TDP leader said that despite defections within the organisation by certain members, the party enjoys the great support of people in the constituency who voted in favour of the party in the 2014 general elections.

He added that although the former TDP leaders MLA K P Vivekanand and MP Mallareddy have shifted allegiance to TRS, they have never criticised the party since they are well aware that it was TDP which gave them an identity.

Expressing faith that the party would win the upcoming elections due the greater good they have done for the people of the constituency in terms of implementing several developmental projects in the area during their period of government rule, Hanumanth Rao along with the senior party leaders and workers hoisted TDP flags at Vennalagadda and went on to host a ward-to-ward party rally to reach out to people.

Calling out for the party cadre to interact with local people to know their grievances, Hanumanth Rao also asked the leaders to take up the issues being faced by slum dwellers to concerned authorities and to get it solved.  Senior leaders Gyaneshwar, Rashid Baig, Murali Goud, Rammohan, Nayed Rashid, Prabhu Pandari, Padma Rao, U Sai Ram and several others participated in the event.
