Valedictory and prize distribution ceremony at Numaish
Hyderabad: The 78th All India Industrial Exhibition (AIIE) on Monday conducted valedictory and prize distribution ceremony at exhibition ground, Nampally. Some of the gold medal winners include Kamala Nehru Polytechnic for Women, Rajiv Gandhi Industrial Training Centre, Central Institute of Commerce and others.
During the prize distribution ceremony prizes were given to central government stalls, state government stalls, corporation, co-operative and handlooms, multinational, limited companies and electronics, housing, household and kitchen appliances, general stalls and round stalls. While special consolation prizes and services rendered by personnel were handed over mementoes and certificates.
Vice President of Exhibition Society P Narotham Reddy said that the almost all the state government and central government through their public sector undertakings are represented in the exhibition. He said that about 2,600 stall have been set up this year are nearly 18 lakh visitors visited exhibition which provided seasonal employment to about 20,000 persons.
Member of parliament A P Jitender Reddy said that the exhibition hasbeen profitable since last 78 years, while Telangana state is at at growth of 18 per cent in last three years. He said that the age old culture still continues till date and people from various parts of city visit exhibition.
