Corporation Bank holds ‘Halla bol’ on loan recovery

Hyderabad: Corporation bank has started a Halla Bol campaign to recover NPA accounts. Under this Campaign, a silent demonstration was conducted at Raghava Multi Speciality Hospital, Ameerpet on Wednesday.

Dr K V Ramana Rao has availed loan of Rs 5,00,000 for purchase of medical equipment in the year in 1995. He has defaulted the loan and CBI enquiry is initiated for perpetuating fraud in the loan transaction. Even after the lapse of 23 years, the borrower is not coming forward for payment of the loan. A case is filed in DRT and also various recovery measures are initiated by the bank. 

In this regard, silent demonstration was conducted by the Chief Manager, Anitha and staff of S P Road branch, Secunderabad by holding placards saying ‘repay our bank dues, help economy’, “repay our bank loans, save public money' and “pay our dues, live with dignity.' This is the innovative measure initiated by corporation bank for recovery of bad loans.
