Gala Swachh Survekshan-2018 event on CM birthday

Hyderabad: A huge awareness programme to be attended by 25,000 on Swachh Survekshan-2018, is being organised by the GHMC in Rajiv Gandhi International Cricket Stadium here on February 17 in connection with the birthday of Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao from 9 am onwards.

Announcing this on Thursday, GHMC Mayor Bonthu Rammohan stated that among the participants would be several cine stars, sports persons, poets, writers, deputy CM Mohd Mahmood Ali, ministers KTR, Nayani Narsimha Reddy, Mahender Reddy, T Srinivas Yadav, T Padma Rao, besides many legislators, corporators, public representatives and students. He said cultural troupes would present cultural programmes.

A review meeting on the Saturday programme was held in Uppal Deputy Commissioner Srinivas Reddy’s office on Thursday in the presence of officials of various departments. Among those present were corporators of Uppal and Habsiguda and officials of GHMC, HMWS&SB, Education and Police departments.

The meeting decided to invite women of the Uppal GHMC circle, Swachh Dhootalu, colony welfare associations, members of the Area and Ward committees, college/school students to the event. The officials later visited the stadium to inspect the arrangements being made there.
