Solve housing problems in Seri Lingampally, MLA pleads with RR collector

Update: 2018-02-16 04:43 IST

Seri Lingampally: Local MLA Arekapudi Gandhi on Thursday brought to the notice of Ranga Reddy district Collector Raghunandan the housing problems of this constituency, such as Rajiv Gruhakalpa scheme, and incomplete basic facilities. Because of this the residents were suffering owing to lack of shelter and unable to pay rents.

Gandhi informed the collector that because of lack of basic infrastructure facilities the Rajiv Gruhakalpa scheme allotments in Chandanagar and Allwyn Colony made by the previous government were still pending.

Although during the last three and half years many meetings were held to discuss the issue works remained pending despite allocation of additional funds. The MLA pleaded for release of funds for the benefit of those beneficiaries who had paid their share of the house cost.

He sought two additional health centres, particularly in Miyapur and Chandanagar areas of the Seri Lingampally constituency where five such centres have already been sanctioned. The collector reportedly responded positively to the pleas. Gachibowli Corporator Komarisetty Saibaba urged the collector to protect government lands from occupation.
