Golkonda Handicrafts and Textiles exhibition kicks off

Hyderabad: The Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation Limited has been organising number of exhibitions and marketing events. A Golkonda Handicrafts and Textiles exhibition at NTR Stadium from  February 16-25 in collaboration with the Telangana State Handicrafts Development Corporation and Ministry of Textiles by inviting craft persons from all over India is underway.

The main objective of the exhibition is to popularise the crafts and textiles of Telangana State and other regions among the art lovers and among the people of Hyderabad. With the help of this exhibition it would create a platform for artisans to sell their products among public as well as develop market linkage with public and private sectors for more future supplies.

Around 120 artisans and weavers participated in the exhibition. Apart from exhibition they would also be separate pavilion for live demonstration in traditional crafts by master craftsmen of Telangana state to coincide.  Dokra crafts, Bidriware, Cheriyal Paintings, Nirmal Paintings, Tribal Jewellery and other products have been displayed in the exhibition.
