‘Exploring Science’ Week held
Shri Ram Universal School (TSUS) concluded the “Exploring Science Week” started from February 12, with the celebration of 209th birthday of the legendary scientist, Charles Darwin.
The students from Grade IV and V discussed Darwin’s evolution theory and its relevance in the modern world. They used various experiments to validate solutions to interesting and thought provoking problems around them through evolutionary design thinking.
Professor Attipalli Ramachandra Reddy, Vice Chancellor, Yogi Vemana University, Kadapa inaugurated the event with the lighting of the lamp. Principal Ms. Jyothi Reddy, Director, Sindhura Indukuri,, Srinivas Kurra along with the panel of experts with expertise in Science, Art and Design graced the stage with the esteemed Chief Guest.
The Socratic dialogue on the EDT presented by Shriites was judged by a panel comprising educationalists such as Dr. Sujatha Maringanti, founder ACHA,.Karthi Subbaraman, founder Oghma Designs, Dr.Insaf Qureshi, Assistant Professor, University of Hyderabad, Dr. G.B Madhu Babu, Assistant Professor, University of Hyderabad and Dr. Prasad Krishnan, Assistant Professor, IIT Hyderabad.
The first day of the ‘Exploring Science Week’ at TSUS witnessed the Shriites in an All-New-Avatar where they not only projected their case study through data and research but addressed and answered the questions put forth by the panel as well as live internet audience with exceptional confidence and poise.
The Chief Guest concluded the session with his remarks - “It is immensely satisfying to see students from Grade IV and V present such complex topics with such high level of confidence. To be bold is indeed the trait that every child should possess in today’s world that works on Darwin’s theory of Survival of the Fittest”
