RTC Mazdoor Union threatens to lay siege to Secretariat

Musheerabad:  Telangana National Mazdoor Union General Secretary Hanmanthu has condemned what he called adamant attitude of the TSRTC and called for its merger with the State Government. 

Speaking as part of Chalo Bus Bhavan programme held here on Thursday, he said the RTC management has been subjecting the workers to inconvenience. 

He demanded that the revised wages payable to workers from April 1, 2017 should be paid immediately. The management should not put pressure on workers. Taking buses on hire and outsourcing of services should be stopped forthwith. Woman conductors’ duty should be less than eight hours. 

He threatened to lay siege to secretariat with the help of thousands of RTC workers if their demands are not complied with. BC welfare association pledged support to the RTC workers’ stir. 

TDP city president MN Srinivas, vice-presidents DVK Rao and Goverdhan, joint secretary S Narsaiah Goud and GVK Reddy and others took part in the protest programme.
