The e-Learning training programme underway at MCR HRD

Jubilee Hills: Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana has begun the second phase of e-Learning Training Programme, covering 12 modules on soft skills and three domain-specific modules on RTI, Office Procedures, and Finance & Accounts,for Government employees, sponsored by Department of Personnel & Training (DoPT), Government of India. 

Over 120 resource persons, who have undergone the Training of Trainers Program on Wednesday, will be the Master Trainers for imparting training to mandal level employees across the Telangana State.

A K Goel, IAS (Retd.), Adviser to Government, Planning & Energy said that imparting training to Government employees at district, mandal, and village levels is the need of the hour considering the commitment of the Government for achieving multifaceted development of the State. 

Continuing his address, he underlined the pressing need for an extensive use of information and communication technology (ICT) to impart continuous training to over three lakh Government employees and thirteen lakh teachers, from across the State. Sri Goel said that current generation of the Government employees is tech-savvy and will take full benefit of the e-Learning training programs of the Institute in order to keep their skill sets current and up-to-date.

 Sri Goel called upon the Institute to emerge as a role model for the entire country in imparting training to Government employees by using the latest technologies in the domain of ICT.

B P Acharya, IAS, Spl Chief Secretary & DG, Dr MCR HRD Institute of Telangana said, with a sense of pride, that the Institute has successfully completed the first phase of the e-Learning training program by imparting training to 9,000 Government employees at the district level, and is all set to train another 9,000 employees in the mandals, across the State, as a part of its second phase.

“The availability of trained manpower in different skills, especially in the soft skills, at the grass roots level will have a great multiplier effect, bring in its wake a number of beneficial outcomes, and result in realising the dream of Bangaru Telangana”, he stated and thanked the DoPT profusely for selecting Telangana State in its e-Learning mission. 

Acharya stated that Telangana Stateis far ahead of Assam, Haryana, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and West Bengal, in terms of coverage of Government employees,where the e-Learning Mission was launched,. He added that Dr. MCR HRD Institute has got an ambitious plan to cover a whopping 60,000 employees in 2018-’19.

On this occasion, Sri Goel released the e-Learning module on Sustainable Development Goals and the Telugu book on e-Learning Modules. M P Sethy, Chief Consultant (Training & e-Learning) of the Institute welcomed the gathering. B Venkateswara Rao, IAS, Addl. DG, proposed a vote of thanks. Sridevi Ayaluri, GM (IT) conducted the proceedings of the inaugural function.
