Sri Goura Pournima festival celebrated

Hyderabad:Hare Krishna Movement,Hyderabad celebrated Sri Goura Pournima festival at Swayambhu  Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Kshetram, Banjara Hills Road #12,NBT Nagar on Friday evening. 

Speaking on the occasion Sri Satya Gaura Chandra Dasa (M.Tech IIT) - President of Hare Krishna Movement  & President of Akshaya Patra Foundation (Telangana & AP) said that  “The Goura Pournami festival is the appearance day of Sri Lord Chaitanya Maha Prabhu who has established the Hari nama Sankirthan Movement.Lord Sri Krishna appeared in form of his own devotee at Nava Dweep ,Mayapur in west Bengal during the year 1486 which was around 532 years before.

Sri Goura Pournima 532nd anniversary is celebrated on Friday.   Maha prabhu distributed Hari nama sankeertana & Japa for the age of kali as way of life to everybody without any discrimination like cast ,religion ,creed...etc.He taught his devotees the easiet & enthusiastic spiritual path by doing sankeertan & chanting the Maha mantra “Hare Krishna Hare Krishna Krishna Krishna Hare Hare ! Hare Rama Hare Rama Rama Rama Hare Hare !” . 

As part of the festival ,The Palaki utsavam of Sri Sri Goura Nitai is celebrated.

The Maha abhishekam of  108 Kalasa with variety of  fruit juices, Flowers, Panchamritam,  Panchagavyam,  Sugandha Dravya.After that, Mangala Harathi is offered to lord Using Dupa , Deepa ,new dresses,ornaments,flowers.Around 2000 devotees participated and enjoyed the escatic Hari nama Sankirthan with devotion.

Devotees offered 108varities of  delicious items to Lord as Raja Bhog like sweets ,kara,pakoda and fruit juices,other eatables. At the Festival end by the Maha mangala harathi to Sri Goura Nitai   ,the incarnations of Lord Sri Krishna and Balarama.

Along with the huge crowd of devotees ,Some special guests from government  departments and other special guests participated in the festival and  all the visitors to the   temple were provided for all the facilities along with sumptuous prasadam for one & all.
