Minister performs ‘Bhoomi puja’ for 2BHK construction

Secunderabad: Calling the Telangana State government's pet project of providing double bedroom houses to the poor and needy as a boon to economically downtrodden sections of the society, Excise Minister T Padma Rao Goud urged the BJP led Central government to support the noble cause. 

The senior TRS party leader who performed "Bhoomi Puja" at the double bedroom construction site in Subhash Chandra Bose Nagar of Seethaphalmandi constituency, here on Monday revealed that the State government led by Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao has submitted several pleas to the Railway authorities to procure their lands for the construction of double bedroom houses in areas where there are no open plots of the state and are waiting for their approval. 

Speaking on the occasion, Seethaphalmandi Corporator Samala Hema said that the State government would always stand by those in distress and expressed that she was happy to be a part of such a noble deed. The Rs 33.56 crore project is said to have been undertaken at another three places across Secunderabad namely at Dhobighat, ACS Nagar and Sai Nagar.
