Teachers honoured on Women’s Day

Toopran: Teachers of Geetha High School at Toopran town in Medak were felicitated by the students and management of the school marking the celebrations of International Women’s Day-2018 on Thursday.

 The female staffers were presented pens along with beetel leaves and bananas as a token of honour for their profession. Explaining about the importance of the IWD to the students,  the school Vice Chairman said there is a need for women to come forward and excel in their professions by availing all the opportunities available.

Later, the students participated in the programme with cultural activities and poems extolling their teachers and the prominence of the role of women in the making of better society. School Vice Chairman Ramanhaneyulu, Director Narayana Gupta and principal Raghavendar Goud and students participated in the celebrations.
