Graveyard caretakers cannot demand money: Chairman
Hyderabad: The Telangana Waqf Board chairman Mohammed Saleem said that graveyard caretakers should not demand money from people. The issue of caretakers demanding money has been making the rounds for quite some time now.
A group of people from Gandhi Nagar and Venkatramreddy Nagar met the chairman about the issue here on Thursday. The committee members from Masjid e Abuzar met the chairman and submitted a written complaint.
It is alleged that caretakers at both the graveyards demand money from people. Md Mahboob of Venkatramreddy Nagar said that a lady died on Wednesday and when the dead body was taken to the graveyard for burial the person at the graveyard demanded money.
It is alleged that one Abdul Hameed of Venkatramreddy Nagar area demanded money.
