Provide reservations to women: Minister

Vikarabad: Transport Minister Mahender Reddy said women should be provided with reservations in all sectors in order to achieve complete justice to them. He was the chief guest for the Women's Day celebrations organised here at Ambetkar Bhavan on Firday by District Women and Children Welfare Department. He informed that the goverment introduced various schemes for the uplift of women. He distributed cheques of ' Streenidhi’ to women.

Collector Sayed Omar said called up on people to come forward and cooperate government to prevent atrocities on women. He advised women to resist and fight back the attacks on them.

The Superintendent of Police Annapurna said police are taking all measures for the protection of women and girls through SHE teams and assurance centres. 
Local legislator Sanjeeva Rao, district in charge joint collector Sandhya Rani, DRDO Johnson also spoke.

Women, who excelled in their respective fields were felicitated in the programme. Minister and collector were also felicitated in the event.

MPP Bhagyalakshmi, Tharur MPP Uma, district federation president Indiara, Women and Child Welfare officer Jyotsna, DEO Renuka Devi, DCSO Padmaja, DFO Srilakshmi, DBCDO Pushpalatha, Industries DM Sammiah, local Tahasildar Chinnappala Naidu, MPDO Sathaiah and other were also present.
