Parigi: The ninth-class students of the Telangana Tribal Welfare School in Bandallicharla of Kulkacherla mandal boycotted classes on Friday protesting against the alleged abusive behaviour of principal Venkatesham towards them. They staged a sit-in demanding his replacement.

The protestors alleged that the principal was abusing students Mahesh, Gopal, Krishna, Srinivas, among others, daily using unprintable words. The students expressed resentment against him when he allegedly abused their mothers, on the International Women’s Day.
They expressed anguish and pain that when women were being hailed on the day the principal was resorting to abuses.

They said they would have tolerated if he had beaten them, while alleging that Venkatesh always behaved rudely with most students.

Vexed with his attitude, the students stated that they had resorted to boycott of classes and staged dharna demanding replacement of the principal. The police under the leadership of SI Chandrakanth intervened and persuaded the protestors to end the sit-in. He assured the students that the issue would be taken to the notice of the officials concerned.
