Political outfits pledge support to March 13 MRPS bandh
Tandur: Leaders of all political parties expressed their solidarity with the proposed March 13 district bandh called by the MRPS demanding the Center to introduce the bill on categorization of the SCs into A, B, C and D groups.
At a meeting held here on Sunday, Assembly constituency in-charges of Congress and TDP Ramesh Mulkud and Raju Goud respectively, CPI and CPM district leaders Janardhan Reddy and Srinivas respectively, BC association district vice-president Basayya, Rajaka association leader Ramulu, MRPS assembly constituency incharge Aravind Kumar and others took part. They felt that the rulers have been paying scant respect to the 24-year-old agitation of the MRPS on categorization of the SCs into various groups.
They charged Chief Minister K Chandrashekar Rao with duping the MRPS by going back on his promise to lead an all-party delegation to Delhi to impress on Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pilot the SC categorization bill in parliament. They declared their full support to the bandh.
