Police asked to register petty cases using tabs

Siddipet: Police Commissioner V Siva Kumar on Monday distributed tabs to CIs and SIs and other police personnel working in the police commissionerate and asked them to register the petty cases using the mobile application e-petty cases on the spot to close all options for the offender to give the police a slip. 

Addressing the police personnel at a one-day workshop on e-petty cases held here, he said the petty cases pertaining to matka gambling, consuming gutka, gambling, causing sound pollution, consuming liquor in public places, cigarette smoking in busy places, keeping open liquor shops till late in the night should be registered at the crime of offence capturing photos using the tabs.

It would rule out chance for the offenders to escape punishment and rules out the possibility of the offenders committing the offence again and again. The workshop was held as part of TS-COP programme. 

The petty cases will be linked to the CCTSS project. Using mobile application would save lot of time. It would be very effective in controlling the crimes. 

IT experts gave a power-point presentation for the benefit of the workshop participants. 
Additional DCPs Prabhakar, Narsimha Reddy, additional commissioner AR Bapu Rao, CIs, SIs, station writers and court constables also took part in the workshop.
