Now avail Ayurveda treatment at Cherlapally jail
Cherlapally: After the successful launch of Ayurvedic Village for ‘panchakarma’ Ayurvedic treatment at Sangareddy and Warangal, the jail authorities inaugurated a centre at the Cherlapally Jail here on Wednesday.
Speaking on the occasion, V K Singh, Director General of Prisons, Telangana State said, “The inmates would be trained by Kerala practitioners and they would be able to make a living with the skills. The experiment is proving to be successful and giving a lot of confidence to the inmates.”
In the coming days, the jail authorities are planning to increase awareness about the centre at the jail. People would be able to avail the facility. A senior police officer said, “There a number of Ayurvedic centres mushrooming in the city but not all are authentic. The department has brought Ayurvedic practitioners from Kerala who would impart knowledge and skills to the prisoners.”
Initially, five prisoners would be trained and in the future, more would be armed with the nuances of Ayurvedic medicine.
