Collector holds meet on drinking water facilities

Medak: Keeping in view of this summer, sufficient arrangements and care should be taken to provide drinking water for the people of Medak district, Collector ordered the officials of Rural Water Supply on Friday. 

Speaking at a review meeting at his office here with MPDOs, Collector Dharma Reddy reviewed on employment guarantee scheme, sanctions of welfare loans, rain water harvesting pits and construction of compound walls, etc. 

The collector ordered to make alternative arrangements for the villages where mission Bhageeratha water is not yet completed including the construction of water cisterns for domestic animals and rain water harvesting pits in each village.

The collector also directed the MPDOs to speed up the process of sanctioning welfare loans to the poor unemployed youth. Regional managers of the banks could also be consulted if the bankers are not co-operating with the loans and uploading of beneficiaries and funds. The meeting was attended by DRDO Dasharath and other officials.
