Residents give a thumbs up

 Old City: The residents of the Old City seem to welcome the metro rail and the Old City advocates joint action committee plans to hold a conference soon on empowering youth and is also demanding employment for them in Hyderabad Metro Rail. Manik Rao, senior advocate says, “Life for youth in the Old City would take a positive turn with the coming of metro rail.”

On the flip side, people are also apprehensive about the loss of properties and according to sources, about 1,000 properties would be affected. Locals say that politicians would not agree for the metro and only think of votes but people are in favour of metro rail.
