Abacus 2018 IT quiz held

Kachiguda: BBCIT students conduct “Abacus – 2018” the national Level IT quiz every year. This year the IT Quiz competition was held on Saturday at Badruka College Auditorium, Kachiguda. Around 500 students from several colleges participated actively in this event.

The main event of ‘Abacus’ was the computer quiz which contained three rounds and special rounds like semi final …. 1,2, & final. Total 221 teams were participated enthusiastically. The winners bagged the Laxminivas Badruka Rolling Trophy and the participants got individual prizes also.  

Winning team were also received the prestigious Master Minds 2018 Award along with Rs.12,000 worth of prizes. 2nd finalist won Rs. 8,000 worth of prizes. 3rd finalist won Rs.4000 worth of prizes. 4th finalist won Rs.2,000 worth of prizes along with participation certificates. Number of students participated enthusiastically from different colleges.  

Some IT related fun games were also conducted in between the main events. All the winners received their prestigious prizes and awards during valedictory function. The event was held successfully with the active participation of staff & students of BBCIT.

The chief guest for inaugural function was Debashish Ganguly, Associate Vice President, Infosys Limited, based at Hyderabad. Dr.T.Hanuman Chowdary presided over the inaugural function. Chief guest for Valedictory function was S.Trinath Sridhar, Zonal Manager, Andhra Bank, Zone-1, Hyderabad and the guest of honour was Prof M.L. Saikumar, Former Dean, IPE.

They addressed the gathering by mentioning about advanced technology in IT and mobile applications, AI, Machine Learning, Robotics etc. They also released the Abacus Trophy. The event was also chaired by  Mukundlal Badruka - Hon-Secretary, SGGBES, SriKishan Badruka, Joint Secretary, Prof TLN.Swamy -Director General I/C.  Prof G.S.Rao ,Director SGGBES, Dr.DVNS Murthy – Director BBCIT, Usha convener and many dignitaries were present in the event.
