Bankers told to co-operate with govt, Medak Collector

Medak: If the bankers don’t cooperate with the schemes and plans of the state government, there will be strict actions against their laxity, warned the Medak Collector Dharma Reddy in Distrcit Project Implemenation Committee (DPIC) on Monday. 

Speaking at the meeting held with General Manager of District Industries Centre (DIC) Rathnakar and other officials, the bankers are not cooperating with the government in sanctioning the loans to encourage the rural youth for self employment under Prime Minister Employment Generation Program (PMEGP). If the similar flippant attitude is repeated by the bankers, he would write a letter to the government regarding their irresponsibility to take strict actions against them, said the Collector who was apprised by the officials that the bankers are negligent in grounding and sanction of Corporation loans in the area.

He also held a review meeting with 83 youth who had applied for the loans from the banks for self employment and approved them and ordered Lead District Manager (LDM) to oversee the sanctions of loans. In total, Rs. 60 were sanctioned for the loans to the male and female youth that 12 from SC Community and 9 of ST community. The meeting was attended by DTWO Kotaji, DMWO Shankar and BCWO Sudhakar and Industries AD Thirupathaiah and DRDO Dasarath and others .
